PLASTER CONDITION ASSESSMENT FOR HECK-ANDREWS
BACKGROUND
  • On 5\15\96 Ewing Restoration completed a plaster investigation walk through for the interior of the Heck-Andrews House in Raleigh, North Carolina. All works contained herein shall be directly related to that walk through only.
  • This investigation is in response to a request by Mr. Thomas Amann of The Amann Group, inc., Raleigh, North Carolina.
  • Every attempt has been made to ensure that this investigation is clear and precise and that technical and trade nomenclature be kept to a minimum.

    Project Scope and Objectives

    This investigation covers the following :

    The condition of plasterwork in the first, second and third floors of the main house only,
    since the rear portion of the house will be used as access stairs, etc. this part of the house will not be considered here.
     
    The condition of columns, ornamental rib mouldings, rosettes and other decorative elements on all three floors.
     
    The condition of flat plaster on all three floors.
